Mahakal Lok Architecture

Pinaki Dwar and Nandi Dwar

These are majestic doorways to the divine realm of Lord Shiva, decorated with complex detailing. These gateways are named after the mythological connection of India to Lord Shiva. Pinaki Dwar is named after his admired bow, and Nandi Dwar is named after his most passionate devotee and bull companion, Nandi Maharaj. The divine bow of Pinaki was used by Lord Shiva to destroy Kamalaksha, Tarakaksha, and Vidyunmali, i.e., the three cities of the asuras. These portals act as a symbolic gesture to enter the spiritual realm.

Murals and Pillars

There are mesmerising 108 ornate columns when walking through the corridor. Each pillar is crowned with several mudras of Lord Shiva and a sacred Trishul (trident) design. The corridor is beautified with 53 murals, 108 pillars, and 192 statues as a living canvas. All of these architectural marvels narrate the tales from scriptures to add visual appeal for both art lovers and devotees.
