The Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO-listed natural reserve in Madhya Pradesh, covering Satpura National Park, Bori Wildlife Sanctuary, and Pachmarhi Wildlife Sanctuary. It is known for its diverse wildlife, forests, waterfalls, and ancient caves.

Pachmarhi Biosphere Reserve is located in the Satpura Range of Madhya Pradesh, covering areas of Hoshangabad, Betul, and Chhindwara districts.

This reserve is known for its rich flora and fauna, ancient rock shelters, tribal culture, and stunning landscapes. It is also home to endangered species like the Indian giant squirrel and Malabar whistling thrush.

The reserve is home to tigers, leopards, Indian bison (gaur), sloth bears, sambar deer, barking deer, and wild boars. Many bird species, including peacocks and Malabar whistling thrush, are also found here.

There are around 55 rock shelters in the reserve, featuring prehistoric cave paintings that are over 10,000 years old.

Some of the best waterfalls inside the reserve are Bee Falls, Apsara Falls, Duchess Falls, and Silver Falls.

You can visit by traveling to Pachmarhi hill station, which is well connected by road. The nearest railway station is Pipariya (52 km away), and the nearest airport is Bhopal (195 km away).

The best time to visit is October to March, when the weather is pleasant, and the forests are lush green. Monsoons (July to September) are also beautiful, but some areas may be inaccessible due to heavy rains.
