What You Will See, Day by Day
Ujjain → Omkareshwar → Maheshwar → Indore
Day 1 – Arrival and Ujjain Darshan
You get down at Ujjain. We pick you up and drop you at the hotel.
Freshen up. Then start the city tour by private cab. You will see Kal Bhairav, Bhartrihari Caves, Chintaman Ganesh, Gadkalika, Baglamukhi, Mangalnath and Sandipani Ashram.
End the day at the Mahakaleshwar corridor. Sit at Ram Ghat on the Shipra if you like. Stay the night in Ujjain.
Day 2 – Aarti at Dawn, Drive to Omkareshwar
Mahakal Bhasma Aarti is the high point of the trip. Be at the temple well before 4 AM. Booking is needed and we guide you through it.
After breakfast, we leave for Omkareshwar (about 140 km). On arrival:

Day 3 – Maheshwar Fort and Indore Food Street
After breakfast, drive to Maheshwar. This old town sits on the Narmada.
See Ahilya Fort, built by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar. Walk down to Ahilya Ghat. Visit a handloom shop to see Maheshwari sarees being made.
Then drive to Indore and check in. In the evening, eat at 56 Dukan and later at Sarafa Bazaar night market. Night stay in Indore.
Day 4 – Last Day in Indore
